They achieve this by training Document Intelligence AI on extensive datasets, delivering unprecedented results.
They’re known for tackling complex problems and making AI an essential component of business operations across various sectors, including asset management, contract intelligence, M&A due diligence, safety and security, and healthcare.
Job Summary:
As the CMO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy to drive the company's growth and establish our presence in the AI industry. You will lead a dynamic marketing team, collaborate closely with the executive team, and have a profound impact on the business's success. This position offers a unique opportunity for a strategic, creative, and data-driven marketing leader to make a difference in a rapidly growing AI startup.
Key Responsibilities:
The overall responsibility of the Chief Marketing Officer is to lead and oversee the development and execution of the organisation's marketing strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives, drives growth, and enhances brand recognition. You will be accountable for achieving marketing goals, optimising the marketing budget, and fostering a culture of innovation and customer-centricity within the marketing team - the expectation is that many of the tactical aspects listed below will be delegated to a capable marketing team
- Marketing Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company objectives and growth plans. Define clear, measurable marketing goals, setting the direction for the team and continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and market trends to adjust the strategy. Establish a strong understanding of the target audience and implement performance metrics for the team.
- Brand Development and Awareness: Build and cultivate the brand, ensuring a strong and consistent presence whilst consistently monitoring brand sentiment. Develop and implement brand awareness campaigns to establish the company as an industry leader. Engage with the online community and collaborate with design and content teams.
- Customer Acquisition and Retention: Create and execute customer acquisition strategies across multiple channels, develop a personalised customer journey and implement retention programs. Collaborate with the Sales team to align marketing strategies. Leverage customer feedback and data to improve the customer experience and conduct market research to target new customer segments and develop advocacy programs.
- Product and Market Insights: Gain a deep understanding of Document Intelligence AI technology and market trends and use market insights to identify growth opportunities and guide product development. Collaborate closely with the product development team and monitor industry trends. Utilise data analysis to identify opportunities for product expansion.
- Data Analytics and Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Utilise data analytics for data-driven decisions and A/B testing. Implement marketing automation and track customer interactions. Leverage predictive analytics and conduct ROI analysis to improve customer targeting.
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the Sales team to provide tools and materials and develop and maintain a comprehensive sales playbook. Implement a lead scoring system and develop sales support materials. Establish feedback loops between marketing and sales teams to adapt strategies - monitor the sales funnel and provide insights for optimisation.
- Budget Management: Efficiently manage the marketing budget. Develop a budget allocation strategy and maintain vendor relationships. Continuously monitor spending against budget and measure ROI. Implement financial forecasting and agile budgeting strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 8-10 years proven experience as a marketing leader in a high-growth startup or technology company, with a focus on AI or related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Document Intelligence AI and artificial intelligence in general is preferred.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and digital marketing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
