Fortis Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Depositary Manager role with a global Asset Servicing firm.
The role involves a combination of compliance, oversight, and reporting duties related to the depositary functions for investment funds. You will work closely with investment fund clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure that all depositary activities are conducted within UCITS and AIFMD regulations and industry best practices.
Overall, a Depositary Manager plays a crucial role in safeguarding the interests of fund investors. The firm works a hybrid model of 2 days per week in the office in Dublin.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing depositary services for investment funds, including AIFMD and UCITS.
- Oversee the safekeeping of fund assets, including the custody of financial instruments and other fund assets.
- Monitor the proper segregation of fund assets from those of the depositary firm and its clients.
- Perform due diligence on sub-custodians, transfer agents, and other service providers to ensure they meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Internal Control and Governance:
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of depositary operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for fund clients regarding depositary-related matters.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in the depositary function.
Skills and Qualifications:
- You have a third-level business/finance qualification
- 5+ years experience in a Depositary/Trustee/Custody environment within Fund Administration.
- Experienced with AIFMD and UCITS regulations.
The Offer
€65,000-€75,000 + bonus + benefits (VHI, pension contribution, study support etc.) The firm offers a hybrid working model, 2 days PW in the office.
