We are working exclusively with our client a global sales outsourcing and brand experience firm on the appointment of a HR Manager. The HR Manager will act as a key member of the People Team and report to the Head of HR UK&I, based in the UK with a dotted line to the Managing Director based in Dublin. As the HR Manager you will develop, implement and lead a range of HR initiatives and build strategic direction for the HR Department in Ireland.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership of the local HR operations.
  • Direct the delivery of the management and resolution of all employee relation issues, in line with the employee legislation, company policies and best practice.
  • You will be the main contact for all union communication and engagement.
  • Provide HR advice to all business units, challenging behaviour not in line with our DNA.
  • Play a role in the leadership and implementation of local DEI initiatives.
  • Manage & shape the delivery of all process and policy improvement across the HR function, ensuring these are well communicated to the wider business.
  • Identify the potential capabilities of the business for any improvements or additional initiatives.
  • Management of disciplinary procedure, performance management, redundancy, long-term sickness and any other business-related issues.
  • Work closely with the UK team on integration of HR processes, operations and future project implementations.
  • Contribute to the future strategic direction of the people function.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working as part of senior team, ideally in multinational environment.
  • Experience working with Irish employment law and legislation.
  • CIPD qualification or Degree in HR, Business Studies or other related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous experience in working in unionised environment would be an advantage.
  • Ideally you will be ambitious and driven and enjoy some degree of autonomy in your position
