Our client is an ambitious privately owned group in the waste management sector who have been rapidly scaling over the last number of years.  They are now actively looking for a revenue team lead with strong team leadership skills to join their growing team.  Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and the Senior Leadership Team you will manage a sales team of five and drive revenue across three core areas:
Role and Responsibilities
  • As Sales Manager you will take ownership on delivering the company sales strategy and ensure that every aspect of the sales activity is not only monitored but optimised for success.
  • A natural leader you will support, train and coach the existing sales team to ensure that their sales performance is maximised, and individual sales targets are achieved and ideally surpassed.
  • Working closely with the sales and marketing team you will ensure that lead generation activities fuel sales appointments and drive conversion rates
  • you will partner with operational and finance teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process and the flawless setup of initial customer interactions.
Skills and Experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience presenting to senior leadership teams.
  • 5-8 years’ experience leading field sales teams
  • Ideally you will have experience working in utilities, property and construction or engineering sales
  • You should be a strategic thinker who can develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets. This involves analysing market trends, understanding customer needs, and adapting sales approaches to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Experience of performance management of sales team in excess of 3 people
  • Strong customer retention experience preferred.
  • Be a problem solver; a sales environments often present challenges, and a good sales manager should be adept at problem-solving. Whether it's addressing customer concerns, resolving internal conflicts, or adjusting strategies in response to market changes, the ability to find solutions is key.
  • Have a result orientated mindset as you will be judged by the team's performance.
  • CRM system experience
  • Tender preparation experience
