Software Licencing Manager

Fortis are working with a Global client in the Third Party Software Maintenance sector on the appointment of a Software Licensing Manager to join their growing team in the US. This is a hands-on role with a full responsibility for IBM/ HCL license intelligence data. You will play a crucial role in the business development process and will work closely with the global sales team in managing work orders and scheduling priorities. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Timely responses to license support request from the business and our customers
• Review IBM & HCL license parts to assess their specific licensing requirements and record accordingly
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand the requirements for each customer opportunity
• Strategically build our licensing knowledge, data and assets to enable an efficient sales process whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of all product & licensing related information
• Build networks and relationships with customers, formalising the relationships to improve market knowledge
• Refine the Origina license services portfolio and educate customers and internal teams as to the support available and how to request assistance
• Work with the project management function in the successful and efficient delivery of license services including working with third parties where required
• Track sales opportunities to determine priority and provide regular reports on progress
• Define and maintain quality standards for all intelligence data and customer provided reports via implementation of KPI’s
• Provide leadership and mentoring in maintaining a high-performance team
• Develop market insights, competitive intelligence and IBM/HCL product demographics as key enablers for the business

Your Profile:

• Previous in-depth knowledge of IBM Passport Advantage products and/or IBM Passport Advantage Licensing, IBM Mainframe licensing
• HCL licensing and Software Asset Management/Licensing background would be a distinct advantage
• Software audit, compliance and/ or defence experience
• Business process and strategy definition and implementation
• At least5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent delivery and leadership skills
• ITIL/Six Sigma training/certification is beneficial
• High degree of integrity and ability to demonstrate and align with our values of fairness, trust, relationships, and opportunities
