Building Surveyor

We are working with an industry-leading consultancy company providing expert guidance in real estate, infrastructure, and clean energy development worldwide, looking for a Building Surveyor to join in Dublin

Role and Responsibilities:

  • In consultation with the members of the design team, plan and oversee the implementation of the Inspection Plan during Construction.
  • Liaise with the relevant Building Control Authority as and when necessary.
  • Attend and partake in multidisciplinary Project kick-off meetings.
  • Prepare project specific Preliminary Inspection Plans and Inspection Plans as Implemented.
  • Conduct & complete site inspections and reports including photographs in support of construction Period services.
  • Carry out inspections and maintain records of same utilizing our bespoke site inspection and document management software.
  • Hold BCAR meetings as and when necessary to ensure the smooth running of the BCAR process.
  • Attend site and design team meetings as and when necessary.
  • Networks regularly promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to project consultants as designated.
  • Maintains and enhances client relationships; resolves issues promptly.
 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Construction Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture.
  • Working towards professional accreditation: SCSI, RIAI (Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland), Engineers Ireland, MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
  • Interest in developing an in-depth working knowledge of the building regulations, site inspections, construction detailing, the building control process and project management.
  • Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English to produce reports and respond to external stakeholder requests.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational, communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to build working relationships with both fellow team members and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
