Finance Manager | Global FMCG
The Company
Our client is a global FMCG (foods) company with many well-known brands in their stable (you probably have some of their products in your kitchen!), the business is in rude health, and they are looking for an experienced accountant to join and assist in leading their team.
The Job:
Role and responsibilities include:
- Reporting: Internal and external reporting to senior management and Group.
- Managed Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll, and General Ledger Accounting Teams.
- Oversight of intercompany reconciliations and agree intercompany balances.
- Oversaw the preparation and review of overheads at month-end, conducting monthly reviews with departmental managers to ensure cost control.
- Compile monthly balance sheet accounts and conducted intercompany reconciliations, overseeing the intercompany matrix and reconciling balances with other companies within the group.
- Played a pivotal role in the Year-End audit, ensuring timely preparation of audit files and serving as the primary contact with external auditors.
- Assisted in statutory compliance, both in accounting and tax matters.
- Contributed to the Year-End budget process.
- Implemented weekly and monthly cashflow management.
- Established and maintained an effective Finance Team structure, focusing on personnel and expertise to enhance finance process excellence and business engagement.
- Provided support to the financial controller and served as the primary point of contact for routine matters between finance and the rest of the business.
The Person:
To be considered a fit for this role you will need to be a fully qualified accountant, with +3 years PQE ideally in FMCG or another similar fast paced, high transaction volume business.
