Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract-Hybrid

Our client a well known financial services brand and part of a global PLC, is looking for a financial accountant to join their team in a broad accounting role, working closely with the senior management team.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly reports promptly and accurately to facilitate business performance evaluation by management.
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, and regulatory standards in all reporting.
• Adhering to Group Accounting policies in reporting.
• Compiling quarterly and annual NSTs as per CBI requirements.
• Preparing quarterly and annual QRTs in accordance with BAFIN requirements.
• Creating quarterly balance sheet packs.
• Maintaining a rigorous control environment and executing controls within the ICFR framework.
• Continuously improving systems and automating processes.
• Collaborating closely with other Finance teams, including PPM and Actuarial Reserving.
• Reviewing industry statistics and preparing presentations/reports for management.

Your Skills & Experience

As a Financial Accountant, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

Qualifications:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong academic background with a relevant Bachelor's degree.
• Understanding of Insurance and Financial Services.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-starter with initiative.

The Offer:

• Full Time Contract Role (12 months FTC – not mat leave cover)
• Salary €60,000 - €65,000, plus bonus and benefits.
• South Dublin City, Hybris (2 days in 3 wfh).
