The Company:

Our client is a well-established Healthcare Company with locations across Ireland managed from their South Dublin based headquarters.

Job Description:

 
  • Collaborating with group accounting and finance colleagues to prepare monthly management accounts and group consolidation, adhering to specified tight deadlines.
  • Preparing accounts up to the trial balance stage, which includes reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, handling accruals and prepayments, managing intercompany transactions, and overseeing other pertinent monthly schedules and accounting transactions.
  • Ensuring the integrity of backup schedules and balance sheet controls.
  • Assessing and analysing management accounts for trend assessment, budget versus actuals, and comparisons with the previous year.
  • Engaging in process enhancement initiatives and developing new procedures to enhance the efficiency of the finance department as the business continues to grow.
  • Working on financial process improvement projects.
  • Compiling comprehensive financial information and financial statements for the annual audit, as well as addressing audit inquiries.
  • Preparing financial data for annual budgets and periodic forecasting.
  • Collecting and reviewing financial information for partnership and doctor tax calculations.
  • Providing support to a dynamic finance team by fulfilling designated daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual responsibilities and reports.

Position Requirements:
 
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in monthly management accounts or audit.
  • Qualified as an ACA with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience or transitioning from a Big 4/Top 10 practice to an industry role for the first time.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Microsoft NAV, is desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Effective time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset, as the role involves interaction with various internal colleagues from different business units, as well as external customers and suppliers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • A confident and dedicated individual who excels under pressure.

The Offer:
 
  • Full time, permanent role based in South Dublin (Hybrid 3 days in 2 from home)
  • €70,000 - €80,000 depending on experience.
  • Bonus.
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Pension contribution.
