Tax Accountant – Global Insurance Company
Our client is a well known Global insurance brand operating in life and non-life markets here in Ireland. We are seeking a qualifies Tax accountant to join the team and lend support to the wider business.
Your Responsibilities
- Handling tax reporting, including corporation tax, premium taxes, VAT, and VIES.
- Adhering to strict quarterly group and local tax reporting deadlines.
- Analysing reported tax data.
- Collaborating with finance and business counterparts responsible for generating tax-related data.
- Communicating updates in legislation, assessing their impact on business operations, systems, and procedures.
- Offering necessary assistance to all business units concerning tax-related inquiries, such as VAT, premium taxes, withholding taxes, and pension taxes.
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
- Conducting ongoing reviews of control measures and compliance protocols.
Your Skills & Qualifications
- A qualification in Tax (AITI) and/or as a qualified accountant, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in taxation/finance.
- Prior exposure to the insurance/financial services realm is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player.
- Demonstrated determination and motivation.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently within tight timeframes.
The Offer
- Full Time, Permanent Job
- South Dublin Hybrid (2 days in office per week)
- Exact Salary DOE but circa €75k - €85k + bonus and benefits.
