Aaron Flanagan

Aaron specialises in Accountancy & Finance recruitment at Fortis, working across everything from payroll and transactional finance through to qualified accounting, FP&A, tax and senior finance appointments. He knows his market, has built a serious network within it and takes particular pride in finding the person who isn't sitting on the obvious shortlist.

Aaron works remotely. And we do mean remotely. Originally from Dublin, he now lives in Leitrim with his partner and their baby daughter, making the journey east a couple of days a week to grace us with his presence. The office is rarely quieter for it.

Away from recruitment, things get considerably more interesting. Aaron is a semi-professional darts player who competes under the nickname "Highly Flammable". Seriously. We didn't make that up.

He's also a long-suffering Liverpool supporter, owner of an enviable collection of rare and wonderful football shirts and has visited more football grounds around the world than anyone we've met. We wouldn't recommend challenging him on either subject.

And then there's Eurovision......

For reasons nobody at Fortis fully understands, Aaron possesses an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Eurovision Song Contest. Winners, songs, countries, controversies, voting patterns. Ask him a question and there's a worrying chance he'll know the answer.

It doesn't really make much more sense when you meet him!
