Dani McPadden

Dani leads our RPO & Embedded division, bringing years of recruitment experience and an academic background in Engineering to a part of Fortis where both come in particularly handy.

She manages one of our key RPO partnerships within the Engineering & Construction sector, working as an extension of the client's own team and getting considerably closer to the business than your average recruiter ever does. Having studied Engineering herself, she can also hold her own in a technical conversation without having to frantically Google the terminology afterwards.

Dani is also the undisputed winner of the Fortis longest commute award.

While the rest of us wrestle with the M50, Dani works remotely from a small island in Southeast Asia. Which, admittedly, makes the complaints about traffic on a Monday morning slightly harder to justify.

The location shouldn't come as a complete surprise. Dani is an avid surfer and once even ran her own surf school, so arranging her life within striking distance of a decent wave was probably inevitable.

Despite the distance, she's firmly embedded in the businesses she supports and has spent years recruiting across Engineering, Construction and related technical markets. She's proof that "embedded recruitment" doesn't necessarily mean you need to be in the same hemisphere.
