Saoirse O'Brien

Saoirse heads up Accountancy & Finance at Fortis, bringing years of experience recruiting across the market, from newly qualified accountants through to Financial Controllers, Finance Directors and senior leadership appointments.

She knows the finance market inside out, has built the network to prove it and has been doing this long enough to know that the person you want isn't always the person actively looking.

Saoirse is also part of the Fortis remote contingent, although she has taken the concept rather further than working from the kitchen table. These days she's based in Spain, proving that Accountancy & Finance recruitment can apparently be done just as effectively with considerably better weather.

Outside work, two young kids ensure the idea of "downtime" remains largely theoretical. Between recruitment, family life and everything else that comes with it, we're not entirely sure where she finds the hours.

We are, however, reasonably sure she doesn't miss the Dublin rain.
