Hamish Ross

Hamish is one of the newer additions to Fortis and, if we’re being completely truthful, still something of an enigma. We’re still working him out.

What we do know is that he recruits across the Insurance and Financial Services markets, working with clients and candidates across Ireland. He brings experience from the UK market with him and, despite being relatively new to Ireland, has wasted very little time getting stuck into things here.

He’s been in Ireland for just under two years, which has also resulted in one of the more unusual accents in the Fortis office. There’s Scottish in there and there’s a bit of Bristolian in there too. Increasingly, the occasional Irish-ism has started sneaking through, presumably the inevitable consequence of having an Irish girlfriend. Give it another couple of years and we genuinely have no idea what he’ll sound like.

Then there’s the rugby.

Hamish is a rugby player and very much built accordingly. At a certain point, calling someone a “big presence in the office” stops being corporate bio nonsense and becomes a fairly straightforward observation.

Beyond that, information remains limited.
