Software Engineer
Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our fast-growing HCM (Human Capital Management) and global payments start-up company. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality products and collaborating with 3rd parties dev operation teams to ensure successful product launch. You will play a crucial role in analyzing existing software implementations, identifying areas of improvement, and delivering new features that provide business value.
Software Development:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Implement and maintain software features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Collaboration with 3rd Parties:
- Work closely with 3rd party dev operations teams, integration vendors and partners to close out milestones and ensure successful product launch.
- Collaborate with external teams to integrate APIs, payment gateways, and other external systems into our platform.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration.
Quality and Security:
- Prioritize building quality and secure code to safeguard sensitive data and ensure a robust and reliable product.
- Perform code reviews, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement necessary security measures.
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure software quality and stability.
Software Analysis and Improvement:
- Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement, performance optimization, and scalability enhancements.
- Collaborate with the team to prioritize and implement software improvements and new features.
- Provide accurate and realistic deadline estimates for feature implementation and deliverables.
Business Value and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Leverage technology to deliver business value by understanding product goals and aligning software development efforts accordingly.
- Establish trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive-level stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure successful product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in HCM, payments, or global workforce management platforms.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors and integrating external systems.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Ability to analyze existing software implementations and propose improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
