Procurement Specialist
Fortis Recruitment are currently partnering with a leading international energy company to recruit a Procurement Specialist for their Irish operations.
This is a newly created role, reporting to the Supply Manager, and represents a rare opportunity to join and shape a growing procurement function.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes including market research, RFIs/RFPs, evaluations and supplier negotiations
- Negotiate commercial terms (non-legal) and manage contract lifecycles from tender to performance review
- Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare sourcing documentation
- Build vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance
- Support procurement of both goods and services (e.g. transportation, maintenance, safety equipment)
- Educate internal departments on procurement processes and ensure procedural compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues in Dublin and Cork
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement
- Experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial terms
- Background in retail or construction procurement a distinct advantage
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and engaging internal stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
- Degree in Business, Procurement or related discipline. Procurement certifications desirable
