Reinsurance Pricing Analyst

Our client, a leading global (re)insurer, is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join its specialized reinsurance team, focusing on Credit and Surety lines.

You will play a crucial role in underwriting decisions, portfolio management, and strategic planning across diverse global markets.

 

The Job

• Risk Analytics & Pricing: Develop pricing models for CPR and Surety reinsurance, analyze loss data to inform underwriting, and support capital modeling and portfolio optimization. Collaborate with underwriting, risk, and finance teams to ensure pricing adequacy.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio performance, support accumulation management and scenario testing (especially for systemic and political risks), assist in stress testing and reinsurance structuring, and contribute to product development and portfolio management tools.
• Credit Analysis: Assess creditworthiness of corporate and sovereign obligors globally, analyze financial statements and macroeconomic trends, evaluate new data sources, and provide insights on country risk. You'll also evaluate and monitor mortgage CRT exposures.

 

The Person

• Education: Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Certifications: Actuarial qualifications (FIA, ASA, FCAS) or CFA preferred.
• Experience: 5–10 years in credit analysis, actuarial pricing, or risk modeling, ideally in (re)insurance or financial institutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, SQL, R, or Python.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with political risk, sovereign credit, corporate credit, or surety underwriting is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaborative, results-oriented, and an innovative mindset.
