The Job
Our client is a highly regarded international specialty insurer with a strong European platform and an established Dublin operation.
Known for its collaborative culture, long-term market reputation, and high governance standards, the business operates across complex international insurance markets and continues to invest significantly in its European growth strategy with Dublin a significant hub for the business.
The role would suit an experienced compliance leader currently operating at Head of Compliance, Compliance Director, or Senior Compliance Manager level within insurance or broader financial services.

The role would suit an experienced compliance leader currently operating at Head of Compliance, Compliance Director, or Senior Compliance Manager level within insurance or broader financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold responsibility for the PCF-12 Head of Compliance function
- Lead and oversee the European compliance framework and annual compliance plan
- Act as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland on regulatory matters
- Provide compliance and regulatory reporting to senior leadership, Board, and committee level
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across Ireland and Europe
- Support regulatory change and governance initiatives across the wider business
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across risk, governance, and operations functions
- Lead and contribute to compliance monitoring, oversight, and training activities
About You
- Previous experience in a senior compliance leadership role within insurance or regulated financial services
- Strong understanding of the Irish regulatory environment and engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland
- Ideally already approved under PCF-12, or operating at an equivalent level
- Experience within insurance highly desirable, particularly specialty risk, non-life, or life insurance environments
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II and broader European regulatory frameworks advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- Commercially aware, collaborative, and capable of operating in a dynamic international environment
