Team Lead - Private Markets Investment Controlling
Our client is a global private investment firm specializing in alternative investing with AUM of over €100bn. This is a broad role in an experienced and talented team that requires an experienced and hands-on team leader. The role requires experience with private markets within fund/investment management. It is essentially a trusted right hand to the Head of Financial Operations.
You will lead a team of 6 people and requires a knowledgeable person that can still get involved in day to day activities and help problem solve. The role has accountability for regulatory oversight, service provider oversight, delivery of high-quality financial and investor reporting. Their is a strong emphasis on fostering a strong team dynamic with an approachable leadership style.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of investment control activities such as NAV review, performance and investor reporting.
- Oversight of work prepared by team members.
- Review of complex transactions, valuations and cash flow activity.
- Sound guidance on fund control matters.
- Primary point of contact for escalation issues.
- Be a mentor, coach and strong team leader.
- Support strategic initiatives, including system upgrades, product launches, changes to valuation frameworks.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in private equity/private credit fund operations.
- Fund/Investment Management experience is a must.
- At least 8+ years experience of successful team management.
- Experience overseeing third party administrators.
- Very detail orientated and technically strong to provide clear guidance to team on complex fund control matter.
