A Financial Accountant is required to join a construction company based in West Dublin. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with Big Four or Top 10 training, combined with industry experience in a commercial finance environment.

A Financial Accountant is required to join a construction company based in West Dublin. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with Big Four or Top 10 training, combined with industry experience in a commercial finance environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the month end close process, preparing and reviewing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Complete timely balance sheet reconciliations, including all intercompany accounts and transactions.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, payroll processing and cash flow management to ensure strong financial control.
- Prepare and analyse cost reconciliations, produce detailed profit and loss reports and review financial performance with budget holders each month.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful variance analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors throughout the annual audit.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes while supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team.
Your Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification and at least three years of post qualification experience in a similar position.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful business insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross functional teams.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a consistent track record of producing accurate financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear recommendations.
